Our Theme-Based Curriculum
Fostering Curiosity and Capability
At The Bridge School, we are dedicated to crafting a learning experience that prepares students for exceptional futures. Our theme-based curriculum is the central driver of this success, integrating academic excellence, social-emotional development, and hands-on exploration into a holistic, year-round program.
September:
My World, My story
This foundational theme builds a child's sense of self and community through exploring personal identity, emotions, and cultural backgrounds via creative activities and sharing.
December:
World Sounds
Children learn about global music, cultural celebrations, and the science of sound by creating instruments, exploring international traditions, and investigating temperature and weather concepts.
March:
The Rainforest
Students learn about environmental conservation, global ecosystems, and biodiversity by building terrariums, researching animals, and observing plant growth and classification.
June:
Underwater Wonders
The year concludes with a focus on marine ecology and water conservation, as students conduct water filtration experiments and create coral reef art.
October:
Innovator Lab
Students engage in design thinking and creative problem-solving by using recycled materials for hands-on engineering challenges, while applying concepts of colors and shapes.
January:
The Sciences of Seasons
This theme makes children into mini-meteorologists who study climate patterns, seasonal adaptations, and environmental changes through weather journaling and sorting games.
April:
Wheels in Motion
Children explore the forces of motion, simple machines, and the evolution of transportation through hands-on experiments like ramp races and pulley system challenges.
November:
Farm to Feast
We explore agricultural cycles, food origins, and sustainable practices through farm-related simulations and cooking activities, strengthening scientific thinking and size comparison skills.
February:
Friendship & Kindness
This dual focus strengthens physical health and sensory awareness, while teaching emotional well-being and social problem-solving through heartbeat investigations and friendship-building activities.
May:
Creepy Crawlers
We dive into insect life cycles and the importance of pollination through activities like bug hotel construction and observing butterfly transformations.
